The Slash® 2WD VXL has been upgraded with factory-installed Extreme Heavy Duty parts! This new release is part of the final wave for 2024 where we have re-energized our core lineup with clipless body mounting and Extreme Heavy Duty parts.

Clipless Body Mounting
Slash's innovative clipless body features secure mounting with quick and easy removal. No posts, no clips—just drop the body onto the chassis and snap it into place for a secure hold. When it’s time to change the battery, depress the tabs under the wheel wells and lift up to access the chassis in just seconds.

Pro Series Magnum 272R™ Transmission
The Magnum 272R uses a new low-profile housing with a rock-solid 3.2 mm aluminum motor plate. A hardened steel top shaft and all-metal gears send power to a sealed, silicone-filled 4-gear differential for maximum traction. A removable panel gives you easy access to the differential for tuning with different viscosity fluids. Originally developed for the hard-hitting Drag Slash, the Magnum 272R delivers competition-grade performance for your Slash VXL.

The Velineon brushless motor and electronic speed control deliver the ultimate in efficiency, speed, and run time. With the Slash VXL, your battery selection determines your speed and skill level. Velineon accepts a wide range of batteries, including powerful 3-cell LiPo packs. These packs pump out over 11 volts of power for intense, skill level 5 speeds beyond 65 mph! Built-in low-voltage detection in the VXL-3s™ ESC helps you maintain your LiPo packs in top condition.

Traxxas Stability Management
Traxxas Stability Management TSM® makes it easier to control your vehicle on slippery surfaces such as loose dirt, smooth concrete, and even ice and snow. Punch it off the line and TSM senses the vehicle’s direction and makes steering corrections to provide straight-ahead full throttle acceleration without loss of control. When cornering, TSM makes intuitive corrections to maintain the vehicle’s line, then hammer the throttle earlier in the turn for much faster exit speeds. TSM also improves braking performance by keeping the front wheels arrow straight until they come to a complete stop.

Traxxas Link Wireless Module Compatible
The TQi's most important feature may already be in your pocket. Equip the TQi with a Traxxas Link Wireless Module 6511 (sold separately) and turn mobile device into a powerful tuning tool. The full-color display combines with the free Traxxas Link™ App to deliver an intuitive, high-definition, full-color graphical user interface that optimizes your radio system for ultimate vehicle control. Traxxas Link also opens the door to telemetry capability when you add optional sensors to your model. The Traxxas Link Application is available on Google Play and the App Store.

5-channel Micro Receiver with Fail-Safe Security
The TSM TQi 2.4 GHz micro receiver uses an integrated LINK button for fast and easy binding. A two-color LED indicates power-on and bind status for fool-proof control and convenience. Traxxas Link Model Memory allows the receiver to recognize up to thirty TQi 2.4 Ghz Traxxas Link enabled transmitters. In the event of signal loss, the receiver will automatically return the throttle to neutral and hold the last commanded steering position. This fail safe programming is conveniently built-in and does not need to be set or activated. The 5-channel receiver features three telemetry ports to allow real-time data to be transmitted from your vehicle to the TQi transmitter.

Sealed Watertight Receiver Box
Slash VXL's receiver is fully enclosed for protection from the elements. The antenna and servo wires route neatly through a special watertight seal, and a custom blue O-ring seals the receiver box to protect the receiver from water. The receiver can be removed for service and aftermarket receivers can be installed without losing the sealing properties of the patented receiver box.

Digital High-Torque Waterproof Steering Servo
A race truck needs a powerful steering servo for responsive performance. The waterproof steering servo (2075) uses O-ring seals to keep the fun going when things get wet. The Traxxas digital high-torque servo provides precise steering authority and speed for wheel-to-wheel racing in the back yard or on the track.

Dual-Bellcrank Steering
Slash VXL's steering bellcranks feature optimized geometry and an integrated cam-type servo-saver to protect the servo's gears from crash damage without compromising steering precision.

Heavy-Duty Driveshafts
Brutal brushless horsepower would stress ordinary drivetrain components to their limits, so Slash VXL steps up with extra-strong telescoping universal-joint driveshafts. The Traxxas-Tough™ driveline makes certain every watt of Velineon power is transformed into rocket-like thrust.

Long-Wheelbase Chassis
Designed from the ground up, the new chassis features a 13.2″ wheelbase while offering over 3.5″ of ground clearance. The new chassis includes drain holes and a battery tray channel for routing servo wires to the receiver.

Adjustable Battery Hold Down
The unique chassis design allows the use of 6-cell flat-style battery packs or 7-cell flat or hump-style battery packs for unmatched versatility (Batteries sold separately). The extended chassis enables the various battery packs to be positioned forward or backward for front/rear weight bias tuning. An optional battery hold down kit is available for use with oversized batteries.

Clipless Body Mounting
High-flying stunts won’t upset Slash's tough clipless body. Locking tabs hold the body tightly, but release in just seconds to access the chassis. Slash's hidden latching system maximizes convenience and scale realism by removing traditional body clips which would interrupt the body’s clean lines.

Adjustable Steel Turnbuckles
Factory fitted, heavy-duty steel turnbuckles allow camber and toe tuning. The Slash VXL is completely adjustable right out of the box to fine tune handling agility and high-speed performance. Captured rod ends provide unmatched durability and they simply won't pop off.

Precision Transmission Case
Slash's Pro Series Magnum 272R™ transmission is engineered for extreme strength with its rugged, reinforced case. The case halves engage precisely to seal out dirt and debris, and create a rigid structure to support the motor, suspension arms, and optional wheelie bar. The thick 3.2 mm T-6 aluminum motor plate resists flex and acts as a heatsink.

All-Metal Internal Gears
Slash VXL's race-ready Magnum 272R transmission is built for massive torque with high-strength steel input, idler, and differential gears and large-diameter bearings. The input gear is keyed and press fit onto the top shaft for greater precision and strength than a pin-mounted gear.

Sealed Beveled-Gear Differential
Slash VXL's heavy-duty steel-gear differential is X-ring and gasket-sealed and filled with grease for all-around performance. It's easy to tune the differential's locking action by adding different viscosity silicone oil to suit surface traction.

Removable Differential
The Magnum 272R's easily removable differential makes maintenance and tuning easier than ever. Disconnect the driveshafts and open the hatch to release the differential in just minutes.

Torque-Control™ Slipper Clutch
The Torque-Control slipper clutch uses special semi-metallic friction material and finned aluminum alloy pressure plates to dissipate heat and provide consistent traction control. The semi-metallic friction material remains stable across a wide temperature range to provide smooth, linear engagement you can count on, run after run. Spur gears can be removed and replaced without altering the slipper adjustment.

Heavy-Duty Hub Carriers & Steering Blocks
The Slash VXL features heavy-duty ball bearing front steering blocks and rear hub carriers. They utilize large 5x11 mm ball bearings for long-term precision performance, smooth operation, and increased durability.

Progressive Rate Powder Coated White Springs
The race-tuned progressive rate springs soak up the small bumps as a softer spring would, but when the conditions get rough and the jumps get big, the progressive rate springs step up to the challenge by getting firmer as the suspension is compressed. The long-lasting, white powder coated finish sets the Slash VXL apart from the pack.

Oil-Filled Ultra Shocks™
The Slash VXL's oil-filled Ultra Shocks utilize X-ring technology for a perfect seal and super-smooth performance. They are fully tunable with a wide range of oils, springs, and pistons. Features include pressure bladders for air/oil separation and spring clips to precisely change the ride height and spring pre-load. They can be renewed in minutes with our inexpensive rebuild kits.

Hex Hardware
Pro-quality, high-grade, metric hex-drive hardware is used throughout for extra strength, and easy maintenance and repair. The black-oxide rust-resistant finish provides a high tech look and feel.

Rubber-Sealed Ball Bearings
Precision rubber-sealed bearings offer the ultimate in super low-friction performance and maximum protection in dusty environments. They are used in all exposed locations on the truck and are virtually maintenance free.
